♫ Her daddy gave her her first pony
Then told her to ride
She climbed high in that saddle
Fell I don't know how many times
He taught her a lesson that she learned
Maybe a little too well
Cowgirls don't cry, ride, baby, ride
Lessons in life are gonna show you in time
Soon enough you gonna know why
It's gonna hurt every now and then
If you fall get back on again
Cowgirls don't cry ♫
So, this is Cora. She was an only child, shocking as it seems. Her mother left her father, shortly after Cora's birth, for another man. Jaded, her father never remarried and instead of teaching her the things a woman should know, he taught her the things a father would teach a son. The task of teaching her womanly duties fell to her aunt. Now, before you get to thinking she's like Angela, allow me to say one thing. Yes, she's a tomboy but at the same time, she maintains a sense of femininity.
During the day, she works at a ranch and at night, she does domestic duties. She's twenty-four years young and hails from North Carolina, around the Latta Plantation. They didn't live or work on the Latta Plantation but rather owned a small farm that was near it. While she was sound asleep in her bed, outlaws came and raided the farm. Her father woke her up and told her to fetch her horse and more importantly to run and never look back. He instructed her to go to her uncle's in Del Fuego, only to discover that he had moved. As it stands, she doesn't know if her father is alive or not.
He is but that's hush-hush and if anybody is interested in playing him, don't be afraid to shoot me a pm. The face claim can be anybody you choose, along with personality and whether or not he's decided to remarry.Anyways, I'm going to say that she found work at one of the local ranches as a ranch hand. If you want to be her employer, once again, I would recommend sending me a pm. She works at the Campbell Ranch. Now, onto the good stuff. I think I've bored everybody enough with a bit of a back story, haven't I? Tee hee.
She's not afraid to get dirty or to break a nail or two. She's learned how to defend herself, and she's a dedicated worker bee that doesn't understand the meaning of quitting. It simply isn't in her vocabulary. Another thing you'll never see her do, which is part of the reason I used 'cowgirls don't cry,' is cry or break down in any way, shape, or form. She wants to settle, but she's not going to push it. She cares about her horse enough that she tends to put the buckskin before herself. She has a gentle way with things and doesn't mind taking care of all farm animals, although she definitely prefers horses.
Now, if you have questions or ideas, don't be afraid to drop a line below or shoot me a pm. I don't bitehard, unless you ask me to! :D
